The Union Church of Manila Philippines Foundation, Inc. (UCMPFI) is a Philippine Council for Non-Government Certification (PCNC) accredited NGO established in 1997. The incorporators and trustees of the Foundation are driven by the desire to provide a better life to the underserved sector of the country. They have determined that its distinctive contribution lies naturally and primarily in the areas of education and values formation. Its preferred beneficiaries are children and youth. The Foundation’s mission is to embark on projects that provide tangible assistance to children and youth, as well as their guardians and caregivers, in the areas of physical, mental, social, and spiritual development.
One of the primary goals of UCMPFI is to provide educational assistance to undernourished pre-school age children in identified depressed areas of Metro Manila and to disadvantaged high school students with limited finances in the City of Makati. The assisted high school students include out-of-school youths and adults but would like to finish schooling. Integrated into the educational assistance are activities that seek to empower the parents, teachers, caregivers and other involved workers.
The UCMPFI is headed by a Board of Trustees.
